Giacomo Alaio

Owner and chef, Giacomo Alaio was born in Naples, Italy and came to the United States when he was just 8 years old to live in Brooklyn with his grandparents. Coming from a long line of restaurateurs, he was brought up in the restaurant business and always managed to find odd-jobs after school in his father's pizza shop. In the summer months, Giacomo would go back to Naples and work in his cousin’s restaurant in the Spanish Quarters of Naples. It is there that he acquired the passion for cooking. He learned that simple and fresh ingredients make great food. He decided to bring the authentic and simple recipes of the Neapolitan cuisine back to New York. In 1991, when he was just 22 years old, he opened up his first Patrizia's restaurant in the Bronx. Through his passion and commitment to serving delicious, authentic Italian food, using only the finest and freshest ingredients, he has succeeded in opening five more restaurants located through out the Tri-State area. Giacomo is married and has 3 children of which his eldest, son Antonio, has followed in the family business and helps run the restaurants.
